Facebook, custom audiences and Facebook marketing services
Within our online offer, the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), is used.

On the one hand, the Facebook pixel enables Facebook to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements (so-called "Facebook Ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel to display the Facebook Ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who exhibit certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) which we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook Ads correspond to the potential interest of users and do not appear to be annoying. The Facebook Pixel also enables us to track the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook Ad (so-called "conversion").
The Facebook pixel is integrated directly by Facebook when you visit our websites and can store a so-called cookie, i.e. a small file, on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook when logged in, the visit to our online offer will be noted in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous to us, so we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and can be used by Facebook as well as for our own market research and advertising purposes. If we should transmit data to Facebook for comparison purposes, this is encrypted locally in the browser and only then sent to Facebook via a secure https connection. This is done solely for the purpose of comparing the data with the data similarly encrypted by Facebook.
The processing of the data by Facebook is carried out within the framework of the Facebook data usage guidelines. Correspondingly, general information on the display of Facebook ads can be found in the Facebook Data Usage Guidelines: www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details about the Facebook pixel and its functionality can be found in the Facebook help area: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.
You may object to the collection by the Facebook Pixel and use of your data to display Facebook Ads. To control what types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on usage-based advertising settings: www.facebook.com/settings. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they apply to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
To prevent the collection of your data using the Facebook pixel on our website, please click the following link: Facebook-Opt-Out Note: If you click the link, an "Opt-Out" cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will have to click the link again. Furthermore, the opt-out only applies within the browser you are using and only within our web domain where the link was clicked.
You can also opt-out of the use of cookies for audience measurement and advertising purposes by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the US website (https://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2&lang=EN) or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).

Google Tag Manager
On this website the service "Google Tag Manager" is used. The Tag Manager is a tool for the administration of so-called tags, which are used for tracking in online marketing. The Tag Manager itself does not process any personal data, as it only serves the administration of other services - e.g. Google Analytics, etc.
You can find further information about the Tag Manager at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

Google Analytics
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
We use Google Analytics including the functions of Universal Analytics. Universal Analytics allows us to analyse the activities on our pages across devices (e.g. when accessed via laptop and later via a tablet). This is made possible by the pseudonymous assignment of a user ID to a user. Such an assignment is made, for example, when you register for a customer account or log into your customer account. However, no personal data is forwarded to Google. Even if Universal Analytics adds additional functions to Google Analytics, this does not mean that this is associated with a restriction of measures for data protection such as IP masking or the browser add-on.
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our website by users, to compile reports on the activities within this website and to provide us with further services (associated with the use of this website and the use of the Internet). In doing so, pseudonymous user profiles of the users can be created from the processed data.
We use Google Analytics in order to display the advertisements placed within the advertising services of Google and its partners only to those users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who exhibit certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited), which we transmit to Google (so-called "remarketing" or "Google Analytics Audiences"). With the help of remarketing audiences, we also want to ensure that our advertisements correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not appear annoying.
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymisation. This means that the IP address of users is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
The IP address transmitted by your browser is not combined with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, and you may prevent the use of cookies by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
As an alternative to the browser add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, please click this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data within this website in the future (the opt-out only works in this browser and only for this domain). An opt-out cookie will be placed on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you have to click this link again.
You can find further information on data use by Google, setting and objection options on the websites of Google: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners ("Data use by Google when you use websites or apps of our partners"), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads ("Data use for advertising purposes"), http://www.google.de/settings/ads ("Manage information that Google uses to show you advertising").

Google-Re/Marketing Services
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) the marketing and remarketing services (in short "Google Marketing Services") of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, ("Google").
Google's marketing services allow us to display advertisements for our website in a more targeted manner to show you only ads that are potentially relevant to your interests. For example, if you see ads for our services on other websites, this is called "remarketing". For these purposes, when you access our and other websites on which Google marketing services are active, Google will execute a code directly by Google and (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") will be embedded in the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on your device (instead of cookies, comparable technologies can also be used). The cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. This file records which websites you have visited, what content you are interested in and which offers you have clicked on, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time and other information on the use of the online offer. Your IP address is also recorded, whereby we inform you within the framework of Google Analytics that the IP address is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in exceptional cases is it transferred in full to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address will not be merged with your data within other Google offers. Google may also combine the above-mentioned information with information from other sources. If you subsequently visit other websites, the ads tailored to your interests can be displayed.
We process your data pseudonymously as part of Google's marketing services. This means that Google does not store and process your name or e-mail address, for example, but processes the relevant data in a cookie-based manner within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who that cookie holder is. This does not apply if you have expressly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected by Google marketing services about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA.
The Google marketing services we use include the online advertising programme "Google Ads" (formerly: "Google AdWords"). In the case of Google Ads, each Ads customer receives a different "conversion cookie". Cookies can therefore not be tracked on the websites of Ads customers. The information collected through the cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for ad customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. The ad customers are informed of the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
For more information about Google's use of data for marketing purposes, please visit the summary page: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads, Google's privacy policy is available at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
If you would like to opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising through Google marketing services, you can use the opt-out and opt-in options provided by Google: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences.
